Rocco

I contacted Lorena Sorze (Brilliant History) about a puppy in early 2021. I was set to get a puppy from a litter she was having and then there were only a couple puppies in that litter, so it fell thru. Summer of 2021 Lorena contacted me and asked if I was still interested in getting a puppy from her. I asked her who the parents were and when she told me Shiny was the sire I instantly said YES! Ashliegh Boudreaux and I have been fans of Shiny for a few years now, so to have one of his kids was something we couldn’t pass up! Ashliegh Boudreaux of Aurum English Cockers and I co-own Rocco and are really looking forward to his future!

The 2022 ECSCA National was Rocco’s first show week and his 2nd time in the ring he wins a 4th place placement under esteem breeder judge (from England) Tricia Bentley! This was exciting! The following week at another week of shows Rocco wins his first major win from the 9-12mth puppy classes! At the supported Greenville Kennel Club show in July 2022 Rocco was RWD to a 5pt major under breeder judge Joyce Winkels at just 11 months old!

We had Rocco at the 2022 Heart of Michigan English Cocker Spaniel Club’s Specialty in September where he took RWD to a 5pt major under breeder judge Marissa Clark at 12 months old.

Rocco was awarded Best of Opposite Sex in Puppy Sweepstakes at the Tennessee Valley English Cocker Spaniel Fanciers Specialty, October 12, 2022, under breeder judge Mindy Bartholomew.

Rocco and I took a drive to Minnesota this past August 2023 to the Star of The North English Cocker Spaniel Fanciers Specialty. Rocco was RWD under breeder judge Jean Shepherd.

This past weekend (Sept. 2023) in Indiana at the Greater Lafayette Kennel Club Rocco was WD/BOW for a 3 point major to finish his AKC championship.

I will enter Rocco at a few Specialties over the next year but will mainly let him mature for the next year or so before bringing him back out to get his AKC Grand Championship.
